Courtney Thorn Smith is an American actress. She was born on November 8, 1967 in San Francisco, California, USA. She performed with the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley while attending high school. She made her first film appearance in the 1986 feature film drama Lucas. She also appeared in several 1980s films, such as Welcome to 18, Summer School, Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise, and Side Out. Courtney Thorn Smith is best known for her roles as Alison Parker on Melrose Place, and Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal. She signed on to play Alan Harper’s girlfriend, Lyndsey McElroy, in season seven of Two and a Half Men.
